Saraki Arrives Code Of Conduct Tribunal with 80 Senators as Trial Resumes

Senate president Bukola Saraki has arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), in company of the deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, and 80 other senators.
You will recall that the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) sitting in Abuja, had adjourned sitting over allegations of false declaration of assets leveled against the Senate President, to 21th, 22nd and 23rd of October 2015. The tribunal had granted him bail on self-recognition.

Also, the acting clerk of the senate Mr Nelson Ayewo in a notice on Tuesday evening, stated that the senate plenary had been postponed to Thursday.
The senate plenary had earlier been scheduled for today, Wednesday, however, the postponement may not be unconnected to the trial of Saraki.
Meanwhile, the senate president has filed a fresh application at the Court of Appeal to stop his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. .
Assistant chief registrar of the CCT, Mr Bintu Garba, announced that all electronic media have been banned from taking shots of the CCT proceeding or broadcasting it live.
Garba said the instruction is from the chairman of the tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar.
