The Chairman, Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), Danladi Yakubu Umar, on Tuesday, shifted the trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, earlier scheduled to come up on the 10th of March 2016 to 11th March 2016.

Saraki, who is facing a 13-count corruption charge bothering on false declaration of asset levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau, had asked the CCT to shift the trial date through a letter signed by his new counsel, Kanu G. Agabi (SAN).

A statement signed by the Head of Press and Public Relations at the CCT, Mr. Ibraheem Al-hassan, revealed that Agabi had in a letter dated February 26, pleaded for an adjournment on the ground that he has other cases fixed for March 10.

‘‘I will sincerely appreciate the indulgence of the Tribunal to accommodate me in this way,” it added.
