Late Mene is the father of Mr. Derek Mene, the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

The Senator equally tasked both State and Federal governments on good leadership so as to create conducive environments for Nigerian youths to establish themselves.

“If we want to make the country better so that things will work then government must provide good governance in order for the people to help themselves in their own hour of need while families should give their children good character so that their children can be able to work hard and meet up their own obligations,” Abe said at Wiiyaakara Town in Khana Local Government Area of the state.

“And that is why we are here today to celebrate a man who prepared his children very well. Today, they are able to meet their own needs. If we give our children character, if we teach them the proper values of honesty, integrity, hard-work, faithfulness and truthfulness to other human being, they will never lack.
