Senate Adjourns In Honour Of Late Colleague

In order to honour a late colleague, the Senate adjourned Wednesday’s plenary after returning from a 25-day recess.

The honour was for the late member of the House of Representatives representing Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency of Lagos State, Mr. Abayomi Ayeola, who passed on, on December 30, 20, 2018 at the age of 60.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki had before the adjournment read a letter from President Muhammadu Buhari, seeking the confirmation for the appointment of an 11-member management team for the North East Development Commission.

The agency is to be headed by Major-General Paul Tarfa (retd) as Chairman, and Modibo Tukur as Managing Director.
