Senate Resumes Plenary After Two Weeks Recess

The Nigerian Senate has resumed plenary two weeks after the upper chamber went on plenary.

Recall that the red chamber went on two weeks break shortly after the election of all presiding officers.

Senate president Ahmed Lawan had announced that the two weeks break was to allow the National Assembly management work with an ad-hoc committee on welfare of the Senate to allocate offices and seats to the senators.

Lawan, this morning, presided over the swearing in of Senator Mohammed Sani Musa, representing Niger East Senatorial District who was declared by the Supreme Court as the authentic winner of the APC primary for the Senatiral District.
