Shehu Sani Cautions Dangote, Don’t Use APC’s Broom To Mix Your Cement

Following the appointment of Alhaji Aliko Dangote as one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s special advisers in the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Shehu Sani has warned the billionaire businessman against mixing his “cement” with “broom”.

The APC, whose party symbol is a broom, had announced the inauguration of its 2019 Presidential Campaign Council on Friday.

The ruling party named President Muhammadu Buhari and Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu as chairman and co-chairman respectively, while appointing Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and its National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, as deputy chairmen of the Presidential Campaign Council.

It also appointed Alhaji Dangote, who is the owner of Dangote Cement, and oil magnate Femi Otedola amongst members of the special advisory committee to President Buhari.

Reacting to the news, Senator Sani, who used to be a member of the ruling APC, advised Dangote against mixing his business with politics.

The Kaduna Central Senator tweeted on Friday, “Dear Bro Aliko, don’t use Broom to reinforce your silos, don’t use Broom as your plasterboard; don’t use Broom to mix your concrete, maintain the use of your machine concrete mixer.”

Sani had defected from the APC following issues that bordered on his recognition as the ruling party’s authentic senatorial candidate for Kaduna central senatorial district ahead of the general elections in 2019.
