Shehu Sani Hits Tinubu, ‘If You Keep A Naira With All Nigerians, You Will Meet It Because It Can’t Buy Anything’

In a sharp rebuke to the National Leader of the All Progressives Party (APC), Bola Tinubu, who said if a naira note is left with President Muhammadu Buhari in a room it will not go missing, Senator Shehu Sani has said because the naira has no value in today’s Nigeria.

Tinubu in a statement in accepting to lead the APC campaign for the 2019 election had dissed the integrity of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing it as questionable.

Tinubu in the statement, on Tuesday said: “They seek to reverse the democratic maxim that government is the servant of the people. The PDP wants a situation where those in government are the masters while the people bow their heads to the interests of the mighty and the rich.

“Leave a naira on the table with Buhari in the room, you will find the naira on the table when you return,” he said.

But countering Tinubu in a tweet on Wednesday through his verified Twitter handle, Sani, who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District, tweeted: “If you keep a naira on the table in the room of all Nigerians from the North and South, you will come back and meet it were you kept it because nowadays a Naira can’t buy anything.”
