Shehu Sani Takes Up El-Rufa’I On Challenge, Visits Kaduna Central Market

Senator Shehu Sani on Tuesday took up the challenge of Governor Nasir El-Rufa’I of Kaduna state by visiting the central market in the state capital.

Both politicians, once allies, are now up in arms against each other with the governor working hard to deny Sani reelection bid, a move shunned by the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor had recently challenged the senator to test his popularity by walking to the market if he would not be mobbed.

“Shehu Sani cannot even campaign in the market square in Kaduna central market. I challenge him let’s go to Kaduna central market and let’s see who will come out unscathed,” the governor had said.

But on Tuesday, the senator representing the central senatorial district, went to the market without any escort in response to the governor.
