Shorunmu Predicts Though AFCON Qualifier For Super Eagles Against Sierra Leone

Former Super Eagles goal keeper, Ike Shorunmu, has predicted that the Super Eagles would have a tough double header AFCON qualifier game against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

The veteran footballer disclosed this in a chat with Brila.net saying that football, especially in Africa, have no minors or push overs.

He also stated that lower ranked countries will always try to upset countries with footballing pedigree like Nigeria.

“There is no work over again in football most particularly countries that want to play with Nigeria”
“They will double up their efforts and give us shots and more also, we are the ones under pressure.”

The Super Eagles will face the Leone Stars on November 13th at that Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin and will have a return leg on the 17th of November at the National Stadium, Freetown Sierra Leone.

The Super Eagles top the group L, accruing 6 points from two wins against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
