The latest update enables users to zoom in via a camera without needing to lift the thumb off the capture button.
In previous versions, the only way to zoom in was to use two hands — one hand on the capture button and the other (with a pinch gesture) to zoom in.

Once you’ve updated your Snapchat app to the latest version, just drag your finger up and away from the capture button while recording. Users can also use the same finger and drag in the opposite direction to zoom back out of the field of view.
The latest Snapchat update 9.30.0.0 is now available to download. The company recently announced its users now watch over 10 billion videos a day.
