Chelsea have only advanced beyond the last 16 once in the past five seasons, losing at the knockout stage to Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, in the last two seasons.
Lionel Messi has faced Chelsea eight times and has yet to score against the Blues, but the Argentine forward has 30 goals already this season.
