Soldiers Kill Bandits Terrorizing Nigerians On Kaduna-Abuja Highway

The Nigerian Army says its troops have killed two suspected bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Sunday.

The bandits believed to be terrorizing residents and motorists along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway were killed by troops of the 1 Division Nigerian Army located in Kaduna State.

The Deputy Director Army Public Relations of 1 Division, Col. Ezindu Idimah, confirmed the incident to newsmen Sunday.

Idimah said the troops foiled an attempt by the bandits to carry out their kidnapping and attack on the highway.

Two of the bandits were killed while two others escaped after being ambushed by the troops deployed around Olam Farm and Dutse.

Idimah said the troops were commended by the the GOC 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruk Yahaya.
