The victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was a must to enable Solskjaer remain as United head coach.

On October 24, Liverpool trashed United 5:0 at Old Trafford leading to a massive campaign for the sack of Solskjaer.

Fans had trended the campaign with the #Oleout. The campaign was divided as some also trended the #Olein.

The shameful defeat led to an emergency United board meeting which lasted for hours.

But some board members backed by former coach Sir Alex Ferguson intervened and helped secure a second chance for the Norwegian.
