Somtochi Stella Amuche is a lady amongst men that broke the jinx by defying all the potential barriers and tunneled out on top. She is a perfect definition of beauty with brain.

She is a gem, and a shinning light among bright Nigerian ladies who are changing the narrative about women.

Somtochi recently bagged a first class degree in the Engineering Department of the prestigious institution.

In a field predominantly dominated by men, the delectable Somtochi proved herself with the popular saying that “what a man can do, a woman can do it better.”

The first class engineering graduate is the second child of Dr. Onyekwere Okpara, a former Rector of Abia State Polytechnic and Mrs. Chinwe Ijeoma Okpara a Banker,

Somtochi is a superb combination of beauty and brain and she must also be one of the brilliant women on earth to have achieved such academic feat in a highly technical field such as Engineering at FUTO.

That is not only all. She started her journey to getting a degree in Electrical Engineering six years ago when she emerged as the best graduating student from the Regina Pacis College, Abuja with 8 A’s (Distinction ) in the 2015 West African Examination Council.

In the same 2015, Somtochi’s academic prowess was recognised when she received the National University Commission Award in excellence as the best graduating secondary school student in the Federal Capital Territory.

In May 2019, her brilliance was again recognised as she was among the nine exceptionally gifted students picked randomly globally to participate in the Google Andela Learning Community (ALC) Programme in Information Communications Technology/Artificial Intelligence.

The programme was held in Mountain View, California, United States.
