Stanbic IBTC Reshuffles Management, Appoints 10 New Heads

Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has reshuffled its management team with ten new executive appointments made across the group.

The tier-two bank made the disclosure on Thursday in a circular seen by THE WHISTLER. The release was dated February 3, 2020.

Stanbic IBTC said the move was in a bid to fortify its market leadership position in the Nigerian financial services sector.

“The appointments are in line with the organisation’s corporate governance structure and succession plan; and following receipt of all required regulatory approvals, became effective on February 2, 2021,” the bank said.

The reshuffle was made across Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC and its subsidiary. 

The subsidiaries include Stanbic IBTC Nominees; Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers; Stanbic IBTC Asset Management; Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers; and the newly floated Stanbic IBTC Insurance.

For  Stanbic IBTC Bank, Eric Fajemisin assumes the role of Executive Director, Corporate and Transactional Banking. Fajemisin was the Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers before this appointment.

Babatunde Majiyagbe was appointed as the Chief Executive of the bank’s subsidiary, Stanbic IBTC Nominees.

For Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers,  Olumide Oyetan has been appointed the new Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers.

Busola Jejelowo becomes the new Executive Director, Investments, Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, the group said.

Wunmi Ehis-Uzenabor has also assumed the position of the Executive Director, Operations at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management.

In the Trustees and Insurance Brokerage subsidiaries of the Group, Emi Agaba-Oloja has been appointed as Executive Director, Stanbic IBTC Trustees, while Ibiyemi Mezu is now the Executive Director, Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers.

For the newly licensed subsidiary, Stanbic IBTC Insurance, the group appointed Akinjide Orimolade as the Chief Executive.

Sakeenat Bakare was appointed the Executive Director, Business Development at Stanbic IBTC Insurance, while  Dunny Semwayo is the Executive Director, Technical, at Stanbic IBTC Insurance.
