2019: Imo APC Rejects Endorsement Of Okorocha’s Son-In-law

All does not seem well in the Imo State chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, as party stakeholders rejected the endorsement and anointment of Mr. Uche Nwosu, Imo State Chief of Staff and Son-in-law to Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Recall that Okorocha had weeks ago, endorsed his son-in-law to succeed him in 2019.

“Uche Nwosu is hardworking, and never gets tired. He is a very humble young man. Not proud. Not arrogant. So, Power won’t enter his head. Inspite of the position he occupies you can’t see him quarreling with anybody or maltreating anybody.

“He does not segregate against anybody whether from Orlu or Owerri or Okigwe zone. He relates with people enviously. I have checked him in and out, I have not found him wanting,” Okorocha had said.

Vanguard reports that Mr Nwosu had over the weekend at his country home in Eziama Obire, Nkwerre Local Government Area of the state, declared to run for governor of the state in the 2019 gubernatorial election.

But reacting on Wednesday, the group condemned the governor’s anointment of his son-in-law, saying the party must follow due process in choosing who runs for the governorship race in 2019.
