2019: Odo Charges Gov Ugwuanyi Support Group On Grass-roots Mobilisation

The Chairman, Igboeze South LGA, Dr Fidelis Odo, has charged the Governor Ugwuanyi Progressive Movement (GUPM) in Enugu State on grass-roots mobilization for Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s re-election in 2019.

Speaking at the unveiling of GUPM’s zonal office in Nsukka on Saturday, Odo expressed confidence that the people of Enugu north zone will massively vote Governor Ugwuanyi at the state’s governorship election.

Representatives of the group were drawn from the six local government areas
that make up the zone as well as executive members of the group from
Enugu east and Enugu west zones witnessed the inauguration.

Dr odo, who chaired the event, said, “Gburugburu is the denominator
for the entire good people of Enugu state having demonstrated
excellence in all ramifications. I extol the commitment of the special assistant to the governor on political matters and founder of the group, Princess Edith Ugwuanyi, for promoting the group’s ideology by ensuring its membership throughout the communities in the state.”

Princess Ugwuanyi, in a speech, said the group was mobilizing to ensure landslide victory for the governor come 2019.

According to her, “Touring the nooks and crannies of the state has remained imperative. Advocacy on the importance of voter’s card registration and collection of permanent cards has been prioritized.”

Engr Chris Ugwu, the director general, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Campaign Organization, praised the activities of GUPM, and assured that the group would be fully integrated in the 2019 campaign in the state.

Those in attendance include the Igboeze south LG chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Hon Sunday Ajogwu; Hon Miss Nneka Eze and Hon Cyprian Omeye.
