2019: PDP Will Reclaim Its Inheritance- Fayose

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, on Wednesday said that the People Democratic Party (PDP) will soon reclaim its inheritance, as the party is only going through a phase of reflection.

Fayose made the statement at Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom, during an interdenominational thanksgiving service held in honour of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom.

While felicitating with Governor Udom on the affirmation of his victory by the Supreme Court, which upheld his election as the duly elected governor of Akwa Ibom State, Fayose said that he did not know how it would have been if Udom did not win the election.

He said, “I want to felicitate, I want to rejoice, I want to stand up and say congratulations my brother, the young dynamic, energetic governor of Akwa Ibom state, Mr Udom Emmanuel, congratulations.

“You don’t need anyone to tell you that you are loved and that this is the home of PDP. We are in the boat together. We will stand by you. We will win together with you.

He advised members of the PDP to ensure that they stand together in unity and love, saying that if they do so, they will regain their inheritance.

He said, “If we put our house together, if we stay together, if we put the past behind us, we will take back our inheritance.

“It is our inheritance taken by deception, taken by propaganda, taken by hidden agenda, but this is an open agenda.

“All of us in this generation of PDP will make a difference. It is a time to reflect and after the reflection, we are going to take our inheritance back.”
