2019: ‘Thank God For PVCs,’ Buhari Speaks On Re-election

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, reiterated the benefits of Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) and the significance of educating electorates on the need to get their PVCs ahead of the 2019 election.

Buhari charged serving governors and stakeholders in the country to ensure that people entitled to vote in their respective states go out to get their PVCs as it is “their nationality” and will enable them to vote in the 2019 general elections “across party, religion, and ethnicity”.

“Thank God that technology has come in. With PVCs, with Card Reader, wherever you register it will show whether you voted or not. That is why voters education is very important,” said the president while receiving in audience members of the Buhari Support Group today at the State House.

The group had visited President Buhari to brief him on the grassroots campaign they have been engaging in ahead of his bid get re-elected in 2019.

Buhari asked the group to, “Tell people that the PVC is their nationality and they are entitled to it. They can use across party, religion, ethnicity.

“So, let them take pride in their PVC, let them keep it and use it. This is an additional assignment for your group.
