There was panic amongst passengers on board Aero aircraft, which had taken off from Port Harcourt and was bound for Lagos, after the plane caught fire midair.
A passenger aboard the flight, who narrated the incident said the plane started smoking barely 20 minutes after departure.
According to her, one of the blades sparked and the entire plane was filled with smoke, choking panicking passengers.
Describing the incident, the passenger who took to her Twitter handle, @puffypearl, said:
I escaped death on Aero flight from port harcourt to lagos today the 18th of April.

I’m still shaky, this experience is one i can’t forget easily. Over 30 mins we were chanting prayers as our flight was filled with smoke
