Super Eagles interim coach, Samson Siasia has axed three players from the Nigeria senior national team camp for reporting late without adequate approval.

The trio, Stanley Dimgba, Segun Oduduwa and Usman Mohammed will not be available for Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifiers against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

They were part of the 22 Nigeria Professional Football League invited to the Bolton White Hotel Camp in Abuja and were expected to participate for the local based professionals for the Dream Team VI’s friendly against Brazil U23 friendly.

“We cannot have those three in camp anymore,” said Siasia. “This is very serious business, and only serious –minded persons can be involved.

“They reported late to the camp of the U-23 team, so they cannot be tolerated in the camp of the senior team.

“I have said it over the past few days that the right mentality would count big among the traits we are looking for in the players to feature against Egypt.”

Oduduwa and Mohammed were in the U-23 squad that won the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal in December 2015, while Dimgba featured for Sunshine Stars in their 1-1 draw against Ifeanyi Ubah FC at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday.

Their unavailability means the team now have 40-players in contention for a place in the Super Eagles team for the crucial double header tie against Egypt on March 25th and 29th.
