African Champions League: Al Ahly Advance To Finals After Thrashing Tunisia’s Etoile Sahel

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have qualified for the final of this year’s CAF Champions League after crushing Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel 6-2 to advance 7-4 on aggregate in the second leg in Alexandria on Sunday.

Recall Etoile established a 2-1 first-leg lead in Tunisia last month, but a hat-trick from Walid Arazou, goals from Ali Maaloul and Rami Rabia and an own goal by Hamdi Nagguez secured the emphatic win for Ahly.
Rami Bedoui and Iheb Msakni got Etoile’s goals.

The record eight-time champions also made another history as they became the first club to score six goals in a CAF Champions League semi-final match.

Ahly will now meet Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the two-leg final with the first match in Egypt next weekend.
