Amaechi ‘Fears’ Buhari May Lose 2019 Presidency To PDP

Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, has expressed worries that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may oust the Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progress Congress (APC) government from power in 2019.

Amaechi said unless relentless prayers are offered to God ahead of the next general elections, the APC may lose its grip on power at the poll.

“If we (APC) don’t pray, 2019 will be very far from us. If we don’t win 2019, it would be your fault, not anybody else. We go to God because he answers. We pray, and then go home and work,” the minister said in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, during the 10th-anniversary thanksgiving service of the Supreme Court judgement that declared him governor of Rivers State in 20o7.

Amaechi’s fears come on the heels of the exit of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the APC.

Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Atiku had said at the just held National Convention of PDP that the Buhari administration was misgoverning the nation.

The former Vice President had equally said that the APC government was founded on lies and deceit, hence should be voted out.
