Angry Traders From Utako Market Attack FCDA Official

Angry traders from Utako Market showed their frustration on Thursday at the FCT high court in Abuja, when they attacked an official of Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Mr. Dennis and inflicted Injuries on him.

The case between Utako Market Traders Association and Abuja Municipal Council Area ( AMAC) had initially been scheduled to come up for hearing today but was postponed due to the absence of the trial judge.

The pandemonium started when the traders who mobilized their members to the court were told that the matter will no longer hold because of the absence of the judge and that no date has been slated for the case.

The traders took out their frustration on the FCDA official, claiming he had a hand in the date shift.

Traders of Utako market filed a lawsuit against the Abuja Municipal Council Area (AMAC) over the plan of AMAC to demolish and revoke their shopping licences, after signing 99 years of lease agreement.
