Anyim’s Health Failing In EFCC Custody, Ex-SGF’s Family Says

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has continued to “unlawfully” keep Anyim Pius Anyim in detention, while denying him access to his lawyers.

A family source who preferred anonymity told The WHISTLER that the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), whose health has started failing him in detention, is only allowed to see just two persons daily.

Recall that Punch had few days ago quoted an EFCC source as stating that Mr. Anyim had been released from the confinement of the anti-graft agency, a report The WHISTLER learnt was false.
Meanwhile, Anyim’s lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, confirmed on Friday that the former SGF is still in custody of the EFCC.

Ozekhome decried the “inhuman and degrading condition” which his client had been kept in.
