APC Can’t Impose Buhari On Us, Okorocha Talks Presidential Ambition

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not impose President Muhammadu Buhari on members of the party as presidential candidate for 2019.

Okorocha equally revealed on Tuesday that the only condition for which he will sacrifice his 2019 presidential ambition is if President Buhari decides to seek re-election into office.

The governor said this on Tuesday on the sidelines of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party in Abuja.

“My president is very democratic. If Mr. President wants to run for election, he will follow all the processes and if he is the person, we will all support him.

“In APC, there is no imposition of candidate. If Buhari is running, I will allow that man to continue, but if he is not running, I won’t sacrifice my presidential ambition,” said Okorocha.
