APC Convention: Oshiomhole ‘An Undertaker Out To Bury APC’ – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has said that if the immediate past governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole emerges as the All Progressives Congress’ national chairman, the party (APC) will be headed to its eternal death.

This was contained in a statement issued by PDP’s Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, while he spoke with Independent.

Recall that the party is set to hold its national convention, tomorrow, Saturday.

Oshiomhole will most likely emerge as the new National Chairman as his last standing challenger, a former Cross River State governor, Clement Ebri, yesterday, withdrew from the race.

The PDP described Oshiomhole as “an undertaker”, who is only out to “bury the ruling party.”

The party further advised him to submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to clear himself of charges of alleged corruption levelled against him before aspiring to lead the APC.

“The PDP will want Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to know that he is an undertaker in APC. He has come with a mission, which is to bury APC, and that is very unfortunate for the party.

“Even if APC that is currently on the throes of death manages to survive, Oshiomhole will need to go and submit to EFCC and defend the corruption allegations against him before he can speak to Nigerians about leading a party that has become so discredited that its members are running away to PDP,” the statement read in part.
