Babachir Lawal’s Sack ‘Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish’ – Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described the sack of ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal as “good riddance to bad rubbish.”

Buhari had on Monday sacked the suspended Lawal, and immediately replaced him with Boss Mohammed.

His sack followed an investigation led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo into allegations of violations of law and due process made against him in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).

The former minister, in a series of tweet via his twitter handle lambasted the ex SGF for being “so desperate to please his master that he even tried to impose a pro-Buhari leadership on the Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN.”

He however sympathized with the ex-Nigerian Intelligence Agency, NIA Director General, Ayo Oke, who was also sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari, stating that he was a mere victim of circumstance.

Fani-Kayode said, “Babachir Lawal went out of his way to destroy the church in order to assist. … evil Islamist agenda.

“His being sacked is good riddance to bad rubbish. He was so desperate to please his master that he even tried to impose a pro-Buhari leadership on the Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN. Now he is out.

“His successor, Boss Mustapha is a better man and he has far more gravitas and integrity.”

On Mr Oke’s sack, Fani Kayode said, “I warned him about these people. They used him and dumped him. He was just a scapegoat and the fall guy in a plot that was far bigger than him.”
