Balarabe Tackles Buhari Again, ‘You’re A Complete Failure, Fascist’

Alhaji Balarabe Musa, a second Republic governor of Kaduna State, has once again taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as “a complete failure”.

Musa, who spoke to journalists over the weekend, further described President Buhari as a fascist who must be voted out in 2019.

Recall that the former governor had in the past attacked the president over his inactions toward the incessant killings by Fulani Herdsmen in parts of the country.

“Let us not deceive ourselves. The President is quiet because he is a weak President. The state (Kaduna) government is also very weak in terms of security. They have put the lives of Nigerians in danger more than any government in recent times,” Musa had said.

In his latest attack on President Buhari, the elder statesman said that since the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) acceded power in 2015, things had gone from bad to worse.

“I will tell you they are complete failures. If PDP was incompetent, APC is even worse. In the case of PDP government, it was just incompetence and you can negotiate with incompetents. But in the case of the APC, it is fascism and you know that you have no stand with a fascist who clear the obstacle by enemies. This is what we are experiencing now. We have replaced incompetence with fascism,” Daily Post quoted Musa as saying.

“The way forward is the complete change of the socio-economic system and the leadership produced by it. Believe me, since we have reached the end of the road, there is no need pretending. We have to go to the ultimate, a revolutionary upsurge either in a legal sense or social revolution.”

Speaking on the alleged dispute between the legislative and executive arm of government, Musa said: “The face-off between the legislature and the executive is the worst experience we have had in the history of democracy in Nigeria. It seems that this is the worst relationship between the two arms of government.

“The obvious reason for this is the socio-political system controlling all development in the country which is based on self-interest first and public interest second. We never had it this rough before and this is the reason for so many aspect of the negative state of the nation,” he said.

The former governor also questioned the strategic plans being put in place by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2019 general elections.

“I received the document for the 2019 general elections strategic plan at the event venue. I even knew about the conference about two days to the event. If the political parties are to be respected, they should be given at least two weeks’ notice to study the document and come ready to participate as equals.

“The whole conference about strategic plan for 2019 and the presentations are theoretical and elitists. There are so many things that the electorate cannot understand.

“INEC has also shown bias towards political parties by recognising the so-called Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) and not the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP). INEC must tell Nigerians who established IPAC,” he noted.
