Luis Suarez scored four goals as Barcelona defeated Deportivo La Coruna 8-0 in the Spanish La Liga on Wednesday night.
The Catalans came into the game knowing they have to claim all three points after losing their last three games in the league.
The visitors opened the scoring as early as the 11th – minute through striker Suarez, the Uruguayan scored his second and doubled his side’s advantage 13-minutes later before adding his third and fourth later in the second half at the Estadio Riazor.
Ivan Rakitic, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Marc Bartra were also on the scoresheet, with Suarez providing three assist for his team mates as they recovered from their recent slump.
“Today we have been incredibly effective. We have won handsomely without conceding,” Barca coach, Luis Enrique said after the game.
Barcelona’s next game is against Sporting Gijon on Saturday, April 23 at the Nou Camp.
