Ben Bruce Says APC Not Mature To Be Ruling Party
Ben Murray-Bruce, Senator representing Bayelsa East in the National Assembly, says the All Progressives Congress is not mature to be a ruling party in a Local Government.
Murray-Bruce in a statement on Monday, was reacting to last Saturday’s state congress of the APC conducted across the country.
The ruling party held its state congress in several states on Saturday. The congresses were to elect new leaders for the party in Nigeria’s 36 states and Abuja.
While the elections were peaceful in some states, violence and protests marred the polls in other locations.
Many, including members of the party, see the crises rocking the APC in many states as a rift among top leaders of the party including those holding sensitive elective and appointive positions in the federal government.
Reacting, the senator said the “state congresses of the APC shows that the party itself needs to be colonized by a more civilized party”.
How can a party that cant govern itself internally govern Nigeria? The state congresses of the APC shows that the party itself needs to be colonized by a more civilized party. APC is not even mature enough to be a ruling party in a Local Govt, talk less of the federal level.
