Biafra: Nigerians In India Face Deportation After Violent Clash

Some Nigerians living in India are likely to face deportation after they clashed openly while arguing their positions on the Biafra agitation.

According to the Times of India, the attack occurred in Hennur, an Indian town, on Sunday night.

It was learnt that a Nigerian identified as Elvis Ohachosim had attacked two Nigerian friends the previous day, he (Ohachosim) was thereafter attacked in retaliation while his car was set ablaze.

On September 3, a Nigerian, N Chigozie, had died after a tense argument over the secessionist struggle involving two Nigerian groups.

The city police, while revealing that the Nigerian nationals are in India either on business or student visas, added that it had filed cases against the group, “We have filed four cases against these two groups in just 20 days.”

While one of the groups is said to be supporting Chigozie’s brother — Nonso, the other is supporting the six Nigerians involved in the Sunday attack.

A police source told the medium that the students involved in the repeated clashes are now being considered for deportation.

Nonso’s supporters have been identified as Ohachosim, Emmanuel, Grant, Pastor Jeremiah, among others.

The rival group, according to the police, include Aiwa Chuks, Obinna Charles, Okwuchukwu Christopher, Chinedu, Zola Henry, Blessing Ikoko, Morris, Black C, Vin, Sunny Ejinkeonye, Gana Nwagbo, Bona Nwaizu and others.
