Black Panther Breaks Another Box Office Record

Today, Disney-Marvel’s ‘’Black Panther’’ adds another box office record to its already-impressive stack of achievements as it passed Jurassic World to become the fourth-highest domestic grosser of all time at the North American Box Office with $652.5 million, and $1.28 billion globally.

According to the News Agency of Nigria, the blockbuster will soon top “Titanic” for the third spot on the domestic chart at $659.4 million.

The only movies standing in Black Panther‘s way at the domestic box office are Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.6 million), Avatar ($760.5 million) and Titanic ($659.3 million).

“Black Panther” stars Chadwick Boseman and is directed by Ryan Coogler. It also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.

It features Boseman as Black Panther, who on his return home as king of Wakanda, a fictional country, found his sovereignty challenged by a long-time adversary thereby setting in a conflict of global consequences.
