Boko Haram Attacks, Hoists Flags Near Chibok

The Boko Haram terrorists have killed at least eight people and hoisted its flags in three villages near Chibok town in Borno State.

The villages, Kubirivour, Boftari and Kuburmbalah were attacked on Monday by the insurgents after over-powering them.

Residents said, the insurgents attacked them after over powering them, and slaughtered at least eight people, including a village elder, during the attack.

In a similar ordeal, the Nigerian Army, equally said its troops prosecuting the war on terror, repelled attacks by the terrorists group in two Borno villages resulting in a gun fight that left most of the terrorists escaping with gunshot wound.

Army Spokesman, Col Sani Usman, who confirmed the attack said,

“On Monday, at about 5.00pm suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists, scavenging for food, attacked Kwang village and Vigilantes from Dagu (which is about 4 kilometres from Kwang), responded and repelled the terrorists attack.

“During the fire fight that ensued, one of the vigilantes sustained gunshot wound on his hand and was evacuated to General Hospital Uba while the terrorists fled with gunshot wounds”.
