Boko Haram: Girl Who Escaped Not One Of Missing Chibok Girls – BBOG

The Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG movement has alleged that the Chibok schoolgirl who was found shortly after the release of the 82 abducted girls, is not part of the 276 girls originally abducted from the Chibok girls’ secondary school, Borno State.

Recall that the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had confirmed that the Chibok girl was found 12 days after the release of the 82 abducted girls by the Boko haram sect.

Spokesman of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, Sesugh Akume who revealed this said that the group carefully perused its list of missing Chibok Girls but did not find the name of this latest returnee.

Akume also dismissed claims by the Federal Government that it had reached out to all the parents of the girls, saying the claim could not have been correct as some parents were still in the dark.

The statement read, “We’ve carefully perused our list of missing ChibokGirls but don’t seem to find the name of this latest returnee. We have also seen a tweet from the Presidency confirming that she isn’t one of them as she is/was a JSS 1 student.

“Whether one of our Chibok girls or not, our joy and excitement is the same for everyone in captivity who regains her freedom. We look forward to all returning soon.

“Joshua Andrew, whose daughter Esther Joshua is among our 82 returned #ChibokGirls says he has no information about when he will see his daughter aside a radio report he heard saying the government might grant them access this Saturday.

“He says he saw her on the media, but has not been contacted by anyone from government, but is sure it’s his daughter,” Akume said.
