Breaking: 30 Killed As Suicide Bomber Attack Adamawa Mosque

No fewer than 30 persons are feared dead and several others injured after a suicide bomber detonated his explosive at a mosque in Mubi, Adamawa State.

The attack happened in the early hours of Tuesday, while worshippers gathered to pray.

Confirming the incident, Adamawa police spokesman, Othman Abubakar said, “We were made to understand that there was a bomb blast at a mosque in Mubi and over 30 lives were lost. A boy about 17-year-old wearing a suicide vest entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb. Many of the wounded are receiving treatment at various hospitals in Mubi North where the attacks occurred around Kunu Araha area”.

A resident of the area who identified himself as Bello said, “As people converged on Massalacin Madina at Anguwan Shuwa to observe Subh (morning prayer), an unknown man rammed himself into the mosque with IEDs , killing many people.

“As I am talking to you I saw over 20 dead with many injured.”
