A FCT High Court has dismissed the charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, against Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Mr. Ademola, was among the judges arrested last October in a late night raid by officials of the Department of State Security, DSS.

He was slammed with an 18-count charge by the anti-graft agency which bordered on corruption and possession of firearms.

In his ruling on Wednesday, the trial judge, Justice Jude Okeke held that the prosecution has failed to establish any prima facie case against the defendants and therefore “no justifiable reason to call on the defendants to enter their defence.”

He therefore discharged Justice Ademola and all other defendants in the case, including his wife his wife Olabowale and Joe Agi (SAN).

“The matter is therefore resolved in favour of the defendants and all the defendants are hereby discharged”, Justice Okeke ruled.
