BREAKING: Buhari Arrives Abuja From London

President Buhari has arrived Nigeria from his medical vacation in London, the WHISTLER has learnt.

The The Presidential Jet, Eagle One, landed at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, 4:36pm.

Buhari was received by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, Service Chiefs and members of the Federal Executive Council, FEC.

The Eagle One carrying President Buhari departed the United Kingdom for Abuja at 10:27 am, Saturday.

The President’s plane has landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. 4.36pm.

The president has been in the United Kingdom for more than 100m days for medical “follow up”. His return was disclosed in a statement by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina earlier Saturday.

The statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari returns to the country later today, after receiving medical attention in London.

“The President had left the country on May 7, this year, after handing over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who has functioned as Acting President since then.

“President Buhari is expected to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017.

“He thanks all Nigerians who have prayed ceaselessly for his recovery and well-being since the beginning of the health challenge.”
