- Hinges Decision On ‘Scarce Govt Resources’

The president’s rejection was read to members of the House of Representatives on Tuesday by the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.

Dogara stated that President Buhari cited security concerns as part of reasons for rejecting the bill that was earlier passed in 2017 by the National Assembly.

The WHISTLER notes that the Peace Corps of Nigerian (PCN) has had a running battle with other security agencies that are against the establishment of the Corps.

The headquarters of the Corps has been under lock and keys since last year after operatives of the Nigeria Police invaded the premises.
