President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, finally signed the 2016 appropriation bill into law.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Chairmen of the National Assembly Appropriation Committees were present at the signing in ceremony which held at the presidential villa.
The latest development is coming few hours after the National Assembly submitted a corrected copy of the budget to the President.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udo Udoma, while briefing State House correspondents shortly after the budget was signed, ruled out the possibility of full implementation of the budget.
He said that it would be impossible to achieve full implementation of the budget even though that is the government’s aim.
“Our aim is 100 percent implementation because the budget is a law that must be implemented. But the reality is that we may not achieve this because we are starting late,” the minister said.
