BREAKING: RCCG Gets New General Overseer As Adeboye Steps Down

The Redemeed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has a new General Overseer, he is Pastor Joseph Obayemi.
Obayemi until his elevation was deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council.
Until the latest announcement, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the 74 year old clergyman, was the head and leader of the church worldwide.

Making the announcement at the church annual Thanksgiving at the 3km new auditorium on Saturday, Adeboye said it was time for a new revelation for the church regarded as one of the largest in the world.
Other changes saw Pastor J.F Odesola now the church secretary while Pastor J.A. Adeyokunnu is the new Treasurer.
Pastor Adeboye, a university lecturer at the University of Lagos, was appointed the General Overseer of the Church in 1981, taking over from late Papa Joseph Akindayomi.
He was born 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, Osun State.
