Breaking: Resident Doctors Suspend Strike

Following hours of deliberations with the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its 10 days strike action.

This was announced by NARD Chairman, Ibadan chapter, Segun Olaopa on behalf of the National Executives of the association, on Thursday.

The association however said it will review the suspended industrial action in two weeks’ time.

He said “the decision was reached following appeals from the public that the doctors should give the federal government more time to meet their demands.

“There will be a review in two weeks’ time to determine how far the government had gone to honour our agreements.”
