The confirmation of Ibrahim Magu as the substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), slated for today (Thursday), has been reportedly stalled, LEADERSHIP reports.

It would be recalled that the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, had announced on Wednesday, that the Senate would on today begin the screening process that may lead to the confirmation of the acting EFCC boss.

President Muhammadu Buhari had, five months ago, nominated Magu alongside five others for confirmation by the upper legislative arm.
