The Nigerian Senate, on Wednesday, said that the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hammed Ali (retd.), is unfit to hold any public office.
The senate, at a closed-door session, further asked the Comptroller General to resign his appointment following his refusal to wear his service uniform.
Recall that the Senate had on 15th March 2017, summoned the Customs boss to appear before it in his full regalia over the controversial import duties policy, but Ali failed to appear.
However, the senate ordered him to appear today, the 22nd, March 2017 but Ali, yesterday, said he will not honour the invitation as the case was in court.
