Buhari, Amaechi Tried To Bribe Me Over Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Abia Polls – Justice Okoro

In a very revealing letter to the Chief Justice of Nigeria and chairman, National Judicial Council, one of the judges at the center of investigation by the Department of State Security, Justice John Inyang Okoro, has fingered President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Okon Umana Okon, as being behind his ordeal.

The letter dated October 17 to the NJC detailed how Amaechi and Umana had approached Justice Okoro to pervert the course of justice in the Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Abia states election petition matters “at all cost.”

According to the justice of the Supreme Court who spent a night in DSS detention facility on October 8, said that he strongly believes that it was because he declined to accede to their request to undermine the course of justice was the reason why he is at the receiving end of the hounding by the DSS.

“My Lord, I strongly believe that this my travail is not unconnected with the verbal report I made to you on 1st February, 2016 about the visit to my official residence by H/E, Rotimi Amaechi, former Governor of Rivers State and now Minister of Transportation. In that report, I told you My Lord, that Mr. Amaechi said that the President of Nigeria and the All Progressives Congress mandated him to inform me that they must win their election Appeals in respect of Rivers State. Akwa Ibom State and Abia State at all costs.”
