Buhari Arrives Abuja From Jordan

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Abuja, from Jordan, where he attended a two-day counter-terrorism retreat.

The President arrived the Federal Capital Territory at about 4:00 pm local time and immediately proceeded to the State House in his motorcade.

Recall that the President last Friday joined other Heads of State in Aqaba, Jordan, for the security summit.

The summit which began on Saturday, December 2, was hosted by HM King Abdullah II of Jordan.

At the retreat the leaders reviewed strategies in fighting terrorism and reinforce joint security structures that will be more proactive in preventing attacks.

According to a statement by the Presidency, Mr Buhari shared Nigeria’s experience on terrorism and its spread across West Africa, and solicited for more support for pre-emptive measures that will neutralise the activities of insurgents in the sub-region.
