Buhari: I’ll Check ‘One-sided Appointments’ In My Government

In a bid to check alleged lopsided appointments in his administration, President Muhammadu Buhari has requested for the full list of all heads of government parastatals.

President Buhari disclosed this on Friday when he met a Christian delegation led by the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Samson Ayokunle.

“On the question of one-sided appointments, we will look at it. I have given instructions that a list of all heads of parastatals be submitted to me and I know they will not delay in doing that,” he said.

President Buhari equally said both the police and judiciary were critical to the country’s stability, assuring that his government will ensure reforms in the institutions.

“There is no way we can be comfortable in our country unless we are lucky to have a good police force and judiciary.

“We need a good police force and judiciary to really maintain the legitimacy and the confidence of the populace in governance,” the president said.
