Buhari Not Desperate For 2nd Term, ‘Please Don’t Lose Hope Yet’, APC Begs Nigerians

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged Nigerians to exercise more patience with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, saying “great food takes time and special ingredients to cook”.

While noting that Buhari is not desperate for second term in office, the APC appealed to the citizens to not “lose hope yet” in the president’s ability to deliver on his 2015 campaign promises.

The APC said this while responding to a Twitter user (@iam_somT) who claimed that the party was holding the country to ransom.

“You guys (APC) want to hold this country to a ransom so that in 2019 you guys will say “vote for the completion of the good work” spare us please,” the user tweeted.

But in reaction, the party pleaded for more support from citizens as it was working hard to better the nation.

“Please don’t lose hope yet. Great food takes time and special ingredients to cook. One thing is sure, is now better positioned to succeed.

“We understand times are very hard, dear Nnamdi. Government is doing everything humanly possible to make things better. We’re out of recession already.

“There are lots of signs. Our appeal is that you make time to learn about various govt policies and ongoing projects. Thanks for your support.

“This government and party are not desperate for a 2nd term. Our focus is to get your support to continue delivering on our promises.

“Recession doesn’t just occur…It takes time to happen. In same vein, its exit is felt gradually. We encourage you to continue working hard,”said the party.
