President Muhammadu Buhari has received the full details of the N6.06 trillion 2016 Budget passed by the National Assembly.
The document was transmitted to the president today, Thursday at about 12.00noon by his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari.
Kyari had received it from the Senior Special Assistants to the President on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang (Senate) and Samaila Kawu (House of Representatives).
Upon receipt of the budget document, President Buhari, Kyari, Enang and Kawu headed straight for the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Confirming the development to State House correspondents, Enang said that with the formal transmission of the document to the president, the constitutional process would follow.
“The budget details has been transmitted to His Excellency, Mr President, today.
“The constitutional process begins thereafter. We have transmitted it to the office of the president and constitutional process of timing begins”, he said.
