Mr. Buhari arrived the British capital on Thursday from New York, after spending four days in the United States.

“We just landed in London. The President is in transit; to be back in Nigeria on Monday,” Adesina was quoted as saying by the Punch last Friday.

Recall that the president’s spokesman had said Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country.

The Presidency however did not disclose the reason for Buhari’s London trip nor the duration of his stay in the British capital.

“President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country,” Adesina said in a statement prior to the president’s trip to New York.

Recall that the President had last Tuesday addressed over 170 world leaders during the General Debate at the UN headquarters in New York.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly, President Buhari met with King Abdullah II of the Kingdom of Jordan, had lunch with United States President Donald Trump, had bilateral meeting with the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres and President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana.
